Kohinoor Mukherjee

Kohinoor Mukherjee (born 30 June 1976) is an Indian sound engineer who specialises in mixing and mastering for the Hindi film industry. In addition to feature films, he has worked on background scores, independent albums and fusion music.

Early life

Mukherjee was born on 30 June 1976 in Kolkata, West Bengal. His mother, Raka Mukherjee, is a Hindustani classical vocalist. He was exposed to music from an early age and began vocal training under his mother. He later received instruction in piano, which shaped his early interest in sound and music production.

Career

Mukherjee works as a mixing and mastering engineer in the Hindi film industry. His work covers the mixing and mastering of film songs as well as background score, and extends to independent albums and fusion music projects.

Over the course of his career he has been credited on numerous Hindi films between 2007 and 2022, working on song mixing and mastering for a range of productions. He has also spoken publicly AbOUT the craft of sound engineering and offered guidance to students interested in pursuing it as a career.
