Overview

Disney Channel

Disney Channel Australia is a television channel that is broadcast in Australia and New Zealand. It is mainly aimed at children and their families. It does occasionally broadcast commercial advertisements and programming is broken up by a number of breaks, during which trailers for Disney's programming are usually shown.

Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon Australia is the Australian counterpart of the Nickelodeon network in the United States.

Cartoon Network

SKY Network Television has broadcast the network in New Zealand, on 1 January 1997 originally during the day on SKY UHF preset channel 7 with Orange (later SKY 1, and now The Box) broadcasting during the evenings. The Cartoon Network became a separate 24-hour channel in New Zealand in 1998 when the SKY Digital service was launched.[2] Cartoon Network Australia and Asia followed suit on 1 July 2001.

Nick Jr.

Nick Jr. Australia is a 24-hour children's channel in Australia designed for pre-schoolers. Nick Jr. was a morning programming block on Nickelodeon until 2004.

Disney Junior

SKY Network Television shows Disney Junior (formerly PlayHouse Disney) in New Zealand. The channel is broadcast 24 hours a day, every day, showing most of the programs seen in the United States. Before Disney Junior, Playhouse Disney was shown on Disney Channel Australia from AbOUT 9am to 3pm weekdays.

TVNZ Kidzone24

TVNZ Kidzone24 is a 24 hour New Zealand children's channel service run by state broadcaster TVNZ. Kidzone was originally a 12-hour service running on former TVNZ channel TVNZ 6. It ran on the late TVNZ 7 for a year, before TVNZ announced the closure of 7.
