Khalifa: The Intro

Khalifa: The Intro is an upcoming Indian-Malayalam language action thriller film directed by Vysakh who co-wrote it with Jinu Abraham, who also produced it. The film is the first installment of a two-part film series and stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role along with an ensemble cast of Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tovino Thomas, Krithi Shetty, Kayadu Lohar, Sathyaraj, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan and Kajal Aggarwal, while Mohanlal makes a cameo appearance

The film was officially announced on 26 September 2022 but the principal photography began on 5 May 2025 in London, with the shoot commencing from 16 May 2025 in several locations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kathmandu, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai and the first GLIMPSE was released on 16 October 2025. The film's music, cinematography, editing and choreography are handled by Jakes Bejoy, Jomon T. John, Chaman Chacko and Yannick Ben respectively.

Khalifa: The Intro is set to be released on 20 August 2026, coinciding with the Onam weekend.

Theaterical

Khalifa: The Intro is set to be released on 20 August 2026, clashing with the Malayalam film I'm Game, Tamil film Jailer 2 and Telugu film The Paradise, coinciding with Onam weekend in Malayalam, alongside Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Distribution

The film will be jointly distributed by Aashirvad Cinemas and Jiinu Abraham Innovations in Kerala.

Music

The film's soundtrack and background score are composed by Jakes Bejoy in his seventh collaboration with Prithviraj after Ranam (2018), Kuruthi (2021), Bhramam (2021), Jana Gana Mana (2022), Kaduva (2022) and Vilayath Buddha (2025). An Arabic-English glimpse track was officially unveiled on 19 October 2025.
