Kevin Manno
Kevin Matthew Manno (born June 29, 1983) is an American television and radio host. Before moving to New York City to host The Seven on MTV, he had a successful radio career with Q101 in Chicago.
Early life
Kevin Manno was born in Highland, Indiana as the second of two children to Garry & Joanne Manno. He and his brother Ryan both knew at early ages that they wanted to pursue careers in broadcasting and attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Together, they hosted an award winning punk rock radio show called All Ages Radio on the school's station WONC. After graduating, both brothers moved onto Chicago's now defunct alternative rock radio station, Q101.
Chicago radio and television
Having started at Q101 as an intern in 2002, Kevin moved through several jobs at the station before landing on the air in 2005. In 2007 he was paired up with his brother to create The Manno Program. Together, Ryan and Kevin used their platform to bring their passion of new music to the masses. In addition to their work on the air, they created a great deal of video content for the internet, which is eventually what got Kevin discovered by MTV.

In September 2009, Kevin signed on for 3 months to host the afternoon show on Vocalo, a subsidiary of Chicago Public Radio.
In the winter of that same year, Ryan and Kevin Manno began working as correspondents on Chicago's longest running music-based television show, JBTV. Ryan is currently working as the main host of the show.
In August 2010, Kevin accepted the job as co-host of MTV's new live daily show in New York City.
MTV's The Seven
After the cancellation of the long-running TRL and the short-lived It's On with Alexa Chung, MTV created a new daily show called The Seven. When it premiered in September 2010, Kevin Manno and Julie Alexandria were tapped as the hosts of the program. It was a live, 30-minute pop culture news show targeted to teenage audiences. On the show's premiere episode, in studio guests included Drake, the cast of The Social Network, and a jailhouse call from Lil Wayne.
In February 2011, the show saw the departure of Julie Alexandria and took on a new identity as a single-host show with Kevin assuming a much more personable role. While changes like this as well as a much larger studio and the addition of more live MusicAL performances made a slight increase in the ratings, MTV decided to cancel The Seven after 9 months on the air.
