Katherine Benziger

Katherine Benziger, (born July 12, 1947), is an American psychologist, sociologist, neuroscientist, and entrepreneur who founded Katherine Benziger Associates and developed the Benziger Thinking Styles Assessment for individual psychometric analysis.

Life

Dr. Benziger was raised in Carbondale, Illinois where she lived from 1950-1964, with her parents, Patricia and Jim Benziger, both of whom were on the faculty at SIUC. She returned to Southern Illinois in 2003 to help care for her mother.

Education and Work

Dr. Benziger holds an MS in Strategic Planning from the University of Wisconsin and a PhD in Psychology from La Salle University. She has had her own consulting practice, KBA, since 1978. Her work at KBA focuses on using the BTSA to develop and interpret individual profiles for her clients within the context of their lives and occupations in order to increase their work effectiveness, as well as their physical and emotional well-being.

Dr. Benziger has worked in the USA, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. She has been on the faculty of The American Academy of Medical Directors as well as been guest faculty at The Jung Institute in Switzerland and for http://www.cgjungpage.org.

She is an internationally recognized expert on the physiological foundations of Carl Jung's type model. Most especially she is known as the foremost expert on the Jung’s concept of falsification of type.
