History
Kali Charan Inter College is one of the oldest and reputed college of old Lucknow.It is situated at chowk near Imambara.This college was established 1913 byBabu Ganga Prashad Verma with the finacial support ofLala Kali Charan Khatri.On 16.03.1914 it was inaugrated by the Governor of the provinceSir James Scorgio Mastin.
Recognition
Before independence the college was known as Kali Charan High School. In 1946-47 it was recognized up to intermediate level by U.P.Board. Later on in 1973 it was upgraded to “Kali Charan Degree College”.
School Library
A grand library consisting of over ten thousand books is worth visiting. Monthly magazines, bulletians, newspapers help to enrich and upgrade the knowledge of students and teachers.

The College is recognized in Arts,Commerce and Science stream. Vocational courses like Nursery Teachers Training, Typing and Computer are also available . The Bio lab, Physics lab & Chemistry lab have sufficient and rare equipments. Various sports facilities & N.C.C division are providing students an opportunity of overall development .

An Ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati is situated just inside the college campus.The Temple provides the spritiual environment to students,teachers and members alike.Many festivals are celebrated with traditional gaiety in the temple.

Thedistricts magistrate of Lucknow' holds the ex-officio post of chairman of college managing committee . Besides the other renowned personalitiesD.I.O.S of Lucknow is also among the members of the managing committee .
