Julius Mwale


Julius Mwale is an investor,  industrial entrepreneur and a business magnate with investments spanning technology, healthcare, real estate, energy, infrastructure, retail , entertainement and transport sectors. Mwale is also a philanthropist who uses business to empower thousands of people around the world.
 
Mwale was initially known for being an early inventor in string based biometric technology systems under an umbrella of SBA Technologies in New York in early 2000s.His inventions became the basis of most biometric inventions that build a firm potential base for royalties as the biometrics spread to most consumer devices.
 
In early 2010s Mwale Invested heavily in building sustainable cities based on green technologies and affordable healthcare. One such city is the US $ 2 billion Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) which was built in three phases. MMTC main anchor is a 5,000 bed Hamptons Hospital the largest in the world at its completion in 2020.Being a lead investor Mwale is reported to own over three fourth of the city making him one of the social billionaires around the world.
 
According to an investigative report by Kenya's K24 National TV in February 2018 , Mwale had already built 100 miles of roads, more than 500 solar street lights,  a 200,000 square foot Hamptons mall with Mwalmart Supermarket,  Hamptons café bed and breakfast, and more than 100,000 square feet of private residences. He had also completed the Cancer Center of the 5,000 bed Hamptons Hospital, and completed some homes along a 36 hole Hamptons Golf course. The City on 5,000 acres was already off-grid and relies on solar power and other sustainable energy sources. The report showed that all community members of about 1200 Landowners had become millionaires in Kenya as the price of Land had appreciated significantly hence transforming lives of thousands of people under a decade.
 
The city in its final phase is building a 465,000 square meter Convention center,  a water park, a 144 MW waste energy plant , an international airport, a technology park, a cable car system and 4,800 resident homes along the golf course.  The investment was described as a single private investment project in Kenya's history.
