Jose Antonio Tavares dos Anjos

Jose Antonio Tavares dos Anjos is a teacher, journalist, historian, genealogist and former National Park Service employee.

Dos Anjos was born in Praia, Santiago,Cape Verde and immigrated to the United States. His early life was spent in Taunton, Massachusetts, where he attended Elizabeth Pole, Parker Middle, and Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School. After moving to Brockton, Massachusetts, he attended Southeastern Vocational, but transferred to Brockton High School, from which he graduated.

Dos Anjos graduated from Bridgewater State College, with a major in history, in 2001. He was a Hall of Black Achievement [HOBA] and McNair Scholar student. He then attended Hawaii Pacific University in pursuit of a Masters in Diplomacy and Military Studies.

Dos Anjos is currently a teacher in the Brockton School system.
