Joe Charlebois
Joe Charlebois (born September 22, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL. Charlebois was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 6th round (188th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Playing career
Charlebois attended the University of New Hampshire where he played college hockey with the New Hampshire Wildcats men's ice hockey team. In his Junior year (2007–08) Charlebois was named Hockey East’s best defenceman, and he served as the Wildcats team captain in his fourth year.
Following his graduation, Charlebois turned professional with the Rockford IceHogs, joining the AHL team for the end of their 2008–09 season.
After returning with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL for the 2010–11 season, on November 30, 2010, Charlebois was traded to the K-Wings for Tyler Doig. In his second season with Kalamazoo, Charlebois enjoyed a return to the AHL with stints with the Manchester Monarchs and the Lake Erie Monsters.
