Jeff K. Oliver
Jeff Oliver is the head coach of the California State University San Bernardino men’s basketball team, he is one of the youngest head coaches in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and one of the youngest among the nation’s NCAA Division II programs.
He earned CCAA and NCAA West Region coach of the year honors twice in his first three seasons as head coach of the Coyotes. He has guided the Coyotes to three CCAA conference titles and the 2007 NCAA West Region championship and the 2007 NCAA semifinals.
His record as head coach at CSUSB is 151-53. His CCAA conference record is 118-32.
He spent one year as head coach at San Bernardino Valley College, guiding the Wolverines to an 11-3 Foothill Conference record and a berth in the state community college playoffs. He was named the conference’s coach of the year.
Before joining the Cal State staff in 1998-99, Oliver spent two years at Ventura College as an assistant coach for a team that won the state championship in 1995-96.
He is a 1995 graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in management. He earned his master’s degree in education from Azusa Pacific University in 1999.
As an undergraduate at Cal Poly, Oliver played basketball for the Mustangs, earning All-CCAA first-team honors in 1993 and being selected as team captain.
Oliver and his wife, Holly, and their two sons, Evan and Gavin, live in Highland, California

Oliver played for the Cal Poly Mustangs from 1990-1994. Oliver was a 3-year starter and was named team captain as a senior.
Oliver ranks 4th in 3 point field goals made with 175, 4th in 3 point attempts with 470, 7th in career assists with 262, and his 79 career steals ranks him 9th on the Mustangs list.

Oliver was the top assistant under coach Larry Reynolds for the Coyotes. In his tenure as an assistant the Coyotes saw great success, winning CCAA titles in 2000 and 2001.
In 2002 Reynolds left the Coyotes and took the head coaching job at Long Beach State. This opened the door for Oliver to take the reigns.
In his first year as head coach the Coyotes won the NCAA DII Western Region Championship
Oliver's greatest success came in 2007 when his Coyotes team made it to the NCAA DII Final Four
Oliver's Coyote teams have won the CCAA championship 6 times- 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009
