Jaya Kishori was born in Sujangarh, Rajasthan. She has one sibling, Chetna Sharma. Her family later moved to Kolkata, where she completed her education at Shri Shikshayatan College and Mahadevi Birla World Academy.

Under the guidance of Govind Ram Mishra, she learned to recite the Sundarkand, verses from the Bhagavad Gita, and other religious works.
