Failure in his 12th standard exams and strong reproach from his parents intimated him to give up all vices.

Kapoor received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bangalore University and his post-graduate diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bhavan’s Rajendra Prasad Institute of Communication & Management, Bangalore.

While in college he was ridiculed for his poor command over the English language. At 22, he was criticised for being too young to train in the corporate world. Despite this, he became a columnist with The Times of India and went on to author two books published by Times Group Books. He conducted inspirational sessions for over 150,000 people and became a guest faculty at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
