James Gilbert (actor)

James Gilbert (born in 1982) is a Canadian film, television, and stage actor.

James is best known for his role of William Brereton on the Showtime historical drama series, The Tudors in the second season. He has also appeared in numerous television shows such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Trapped, and My Daughter's Secret. He has also been in films such as American Soldiers, Magic Flute Diaries, and Cry of the Owl. He is also a founding member of Column 13 Theatre Company in Toronto, appearing in many stage productions, as well as directing one of his own. James is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama in Glasgow, Scotland. He will soon be seen in the next sequel of the scary movie franchise, Saw VI.

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, he now lives in Toronto,Canada and is a Boston Bruin fan.
