J. P. Marks

J. P. Marks was the Program Director for the simulcast of WOWZ/WOWB, "Wow-FM - The Beat of Central New York" in the Utica-Rome, New York market. He was Program Director from 1996 to the station's sale and format change in early 2001.

Prior to the position of Program Director, Marks worked as the nighttime air personality on Wow-FM when it was an adult contemporary format. J.P. Marks was first heard in the market on WRCK "Rock 107" as a fill-in DJ for the station's mix show "Dance Tracks" and later on weekend and swing shifts. He was the principal replacement nighttime air personality for regular B.B. Good.

J.P. was born in Syracuse, New York in July 1968. He is openly gay (having been outed by a competing radio station in 1998) and retired from radio after the sale of WOWZ/WOWB to Clear Channel Communications.
