It's A Blessing
It's A Blessing is a studio album released by The COGIC'S in 1966.
Here is the description written on the back of the album:
"THE COGIC Gospel Singers are a fine example of the word "religion" for they not only express themselves in their forms of worship through song, but have a main goal which they indeed live by and that is, "To reach other young people through their singing, so that they might see that there is reality in serving Christ."
I'm glad this album was created to record permanently those memorable performances of the most talented group of young gospel singers that I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
They selected their name, (COGICS), from the Church Of God In Christ, of which some of the group were regular attending members. The members are: Gloria Jones, Andrae Crouch, Sondra Williams, Sandra Crouch and Edna Wright. This group is fresh and full of enthusiasm to sing God's praises with the versatility of accomplished performers even though they were very young.
When I first heard, "IT'S A BLESSING", I was impressed, not just by the beat of this song, but the feeling that was expressed by those singing it.
Andrae Crouch, the arranger and originator of the group, is to be given credit for all of the selections included in this album with the exception of "THERE IS A FOUNTAIN", which he did not compose.
After listening to this album we hope that you will agree with us in saying that "IT'S A BLESSING" to have a group of young adults such as these. In giving thanks to God for the gifts bestowed upon them, THE COGICS share with us their sincerest feelings with their collective statement . . . "IT'S A BLESSING"."
