Islah Abdur Rahman
Islah Abdur Rahman (; born 20 April 1991), formerly known by the stage name Izzy Rahman, is an English actor and film director.
Early life
In school, Abdur Rahman studied Business, ICT and History. He failed most of his GCSEs and took a BTEC Media Studies course in sixth form. He carried on Media and Film Studies through AS level, then did A levels in Media, English Language and ICT, then I studied a Foundation Degree in Art & Design, had never taken Art as a subject before but learnt the Art behind cinematography. In 2013, he graduated in Television Broadcasting and Media Studies from Kingston University.
Career
In March 2011, whilst studying at university, Abdur Rahman launched his own film production company – IAR Media. After he finished university, he directed a music video called Never Be Enough by Beatboxer Ekko and Raxstar. In 2011, he created and directed Mandem on the Wall known for its role in the E4 drama series Youngers, directed a documentary, a music video and starred in the feature film Jayden. Since February 2014, he has starred and directed in the viral comedy series Corner Shop.
In November 2014, Abdur-Rahman was interviewed by Nadia Ali on BBC Asian Network.
