ISA - Intelligent Sensing Anywhere is a Portugal-based global company specialized in telemetry and M2M (Machine to Machine) communications, headquartered in Coimbra. ISA is a global leader in different market segments such as remote management for utilities, including telemetry and remote metering solutions for gas, fuel, electricity and water. Its main areas of application are Oil & Gas Telemetry; Energy & Metering; Remote Management for the Environment; Healthcare and Medical and Machine-to-Machine. ISA offers; Smart Monitoring - providing telemetry solutions, Smart Logistics - management software to optimizing supply chains and Smart Home - services such as Safety & Security, Energy Saving and Ambient Assisted Living. ISA has more than 100 employees, 45 dedicated to R&D. The company has been featured in the media, including the Expresso, Público, Correio da Manhã, Diário de Coimbra, Diário As Beiras and TSF.
History
ISA was founded in 1990 by a team of engineers and physicists with expertise on electronics, instrumentation and software design. As a spin-off company of the University of Coimbra, ISA has developed electronic and data acquisition systems for clients such as the European Space Agency, worldwide nuclear fusion laboratories and multinational industrial companies. Other notable clients include: BP, Royal Dutch Shell, Galp Energia, Primagaz and Repsol YPF.
