In Brazil, Sao Paulo with a five star boutique hotel Porto Bay ´L´Hotel Sao Paulo, affiliated to the Leading Small Hotels of the World, Rio de Janeiro – hotel Porto Bay Rio Internacional, in Copacabana beach - and in Búzios with a boutique lodge in the centre of the picturesque city of Búzios– Porto Bay Glenzhaus.
History
1988 - Suite Hotel Eden Mar first hotel was open in Funchal city.
1994 - 5 star flagship hotel of the Group was inaugurated, as a result of careful research to fulfill Madeira’s need of a different five star.
2000 – The city resort Porto Santa Maria was open in the old town - Zona Velha – Funchal city.
2003 – Open the Resort Vila Porto Mare – which integrates three different products – Eden Mare, Porto Mare e The Residence.
2007 – Porto Bay Rio International Hotel situated on the front line of the Copacabana beach in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was acquired.
2007 – The Group purchased a prize-winning inn in Búzios - Porto Bay Glenzhaus, intended to complement Porto Bay Rio Internacional.
2008 – The Porto Bay Falésia (before called Riu Falésia) was open in Olhos d’Água near Albufeira in the Algarve.
2009 – Porto Bay L´Hotel Sao Paulo is the third hotel unit from Porto Bay Hotels & Resorts in Brazil.
