Instapray
Instapray is a mobile microblogging platform and social network service that allows users to pray, post prayers, request prayers and discover other religions through the multimedia posts of other users.
History
Instapray was founded on January 9, 2013 in San Francisco, California. The Founder and CEO Fryderyk Ovcaric, a Stanford University graduate, says âOur mission is to build a global online community of happiness, love and support â facilitating exchanges of inspiration, compassion and care among people through prayers.â
Service
The platform is designed to deliver instant, crowd-sourced feedback to users who request prayers. Prayers can be public or sent to user generated groups and communities around specific topics, locations or faiths.
Instapray users must register before using the site, after which they may create a personal profile, follow other users, join prayer groups, exchange messages and receive automatic notifications with updates about their prayers.
People use Instapray to get support from around the world during problems they face, to meet other people who share their religious and spiritual beliefs or discover and discuss various life and world events.
Users are able to use # hashtags and @ mentions. Prayers from Instapray can be shared to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
Instapray was the first platform to introduce the Repray. Repray is a reblogging feature which allows its users to forward a prayer to their followers.
