Hyper (company)
Hyper is a Canadian artificial intelligence company that develops voice AI software to automate non-emergency calls to 911 and police non-emergency lines. It is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, with offices in San Francisco.
History
Hyper was founded in 2023 by Ben Sanders and Damian McCabe.
In July 2025, Hyper announced a seed funding round of US$6.3 million (approximately CA$8.5 million), led by Eniac Ventures. Angel investors from companies including OpenAI, Cohere, PagerDuty, and Brex.
In early 2026, Toronto Police Service announced plans to use Hyper's AI to handle its non-emergency calls.
