Hurricanes in Poland
Orkans in Poland are winds whose speed exceeds , the wind force designated as a Hurricane, but Orkan is a slightly different wind structure, formerly occurring in Poland sporadically. Orcans cause very great damage (broken roofs of houses, fallen trees, broken power lines). Orcans are the result of a large difference in pressure between the Atlantic Ocean and Eurasia.

Hurricane Pia November 18, 2004
On November 18, 2004, the mighty winds comparable to the 2007 Kyrill Hurricane were rampant over Poland, and even stronger. The highest winds made themselves known in Upper Silesia, where gusts of wind reached . Several people died, and many homes were without electricity.

Hurricane Kyrill 18/19 January 2007
On January 18, 2007, strong winds from Hurricane Kyrill emerged over Poland. The wind speed exceeded , at . The hurricane was accompanied by lightning and heavy rainfall. Hurricane caused 6 fatalities, with 36 injured. The fire brigade intervened nationwide over 6,000 times (data from 8:00 on January 19, 2007).

On 26-27 January 2008, this hurricane passed to Poland. 1 person died. Hurricane caused great material damage.
Hurricane Zizi 22/23 February 2008
Another strong hurricane in 2008, with a wind force exceeding passed over Poland at night from 22 to 23 February. It tore off the roofs, knocked down the trees, and ripped off the power lines. There were no fatalities. The hurricane was particularly felt over northern Poland, and southern Poland did not reach hurricane status.

Hurricane Emma passed over Poland with less force than in Western and Northern Europe, but still had a deadly effect. 5 people died, many farms were destroyed, the wind broke over 200 roofs. The wind overturned cars on the highway.

Hurricane Xynthia passed over Poland with much less force than in western Europe, where the storm killed 53 people. The strongest gusts of wind were recorded in the Sudetes and Podhale, where wind speeds exceeded .
Hurricane Yoda 27/28 November 2011
The strongest gusts of wind were recorded in the west of Europe where the wind speed exceeded 150 km/h. In Poland, the strongest gusts of wind (115 km/h) were recorded in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. It blocked the traffic of Szybka Kolej Miejska (Tricity) near Gdynia Cisowa railway station with a fallen tree on one of the tracks and the Laskowice-Pomorskie section on the railway.

Hurricane Joachim after the devastation made in Western European countries, also brought serious damage in Poland. The strongest gusts were recorded in the south of Poland where the wind force exceeded 150 km/h. In the lowlands it was weaker, GeneRally at 60-70 km/h. At the moment of entering the lower part of the region Szczecin there was a pressure of 966.7 hPa, which was one of the lowest in the history of measurements. The wind ripped down the roofs, turned power poles, pulled trees out of the trees, and even turned over cars. Several people were injured. In the Zakopane an overturned chimney wounded a hotel employee. A man with a crushed hand and a severe spinal injury was taken to hospital. Light injuries were suffered by a teenager who fell on the roof element of the roof of the Krupówki Street in Zakopane.

In the Silesian Voivodeship, the orkan was strongly influenced by the locations near the Moravian Gate, for example in Wodzisław Śląski, where the fire brigade removed fallen trees. In Lodz in the Lututia, probably due to the strong wind, the peak of the brick wall of St. Peter and Paul was damaged.
Hurricane Xavier 5-7 December 2013
Hurricane arrived in Poland at midnight from 5 to 6 December from north-west. The wind was most felt in the West and Central Pomerania, where it broke the roofs of houses, broke trees, and broke off the power lines. This started in Poland at midnight from 22 to 23 November from north-west. Strong winds were recorded in Chojnice, about in the mountains in the south of Poland, and the strongest wind was about . 21 persons died. Hurricane did great material damage, and snow or snowy thunderstorm.
Hurricane Dorro February 24-26, 2017
This started in UK. The strongest wind was recorded in the vicinity of London at . It then moved to Germany and on February 24 reached Poland. Strong winds were recorded in Włodawa, about , but the strongest wind was in the west of Poland - about 100 km/h. In Gdynia a landslide was recorded at night. Włodawa and other cities throughout Poland were ravaged by tornado, sand and bags, and in the evening in Włodawa Street. The Red Cross could be seen falling down Road Sign. The Orkan in the east on February 24 was accompanied by winds of about 90 km/h. flying sundews, and evening rain and snow. After touching Poland, Dorro moved to East-South Europe.

Orkan Grzegorz October 28–29, 2017
Orkan Grzegor caused 2 deaths - in the West Pomeranian and Opole Voivodeships. Six people were hurt, 4 firefighters among them. On October 29, the wind made a crane fall over, which damaged fragments of the gas installations in the Świnoujście LNG Terminal im. Prezydenta Lecha Kaczyńskiego.
