High School Musical 2: The Concert

High School MusicAL 2 and 3: The Concert Festival is going to be a possible 40-city concert tour based on the popular hit Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical 2 and the future sequel High School Musical 3, sponsored by AEG Live and presented by Buena Vista Concerts. The concert will possibly perform in cities of the United States, Canada and Latin America.

The concert, which will feature songs from the two films, also included cast members Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman. As of October 5, 2007, no dates have been scheduled. And no tracklistings will be posted until the offcial tracklisting is released.

Opening Act

Miley Cyrus, The JOnAS Brothers, Keke Palmer, T-Squad, and even last years replacement for Zac Efron Drew Seeley are potential opening acts for the tour. None of these acts are confirmed or attached to the tour thus far.

Disney has decided to do the same kind of bottom of the mike coding only a little different:

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are currently dating, known by many as "Zanessa".

Vanessa Hudgens would've been gone from the cast of the concert because of her scandal but Disney couldn't resist.

Miley Cyrus who is also Hannah Montana made a cameo in HSM2 and that is why she is an opening act.

The Festival

The concert will be called a festival because it is compiling the songs of both movies. The tour will probably take place in mid to late 2008 after The Release of High School Musical 3.
