H.E.N

H.E.N, or Homebrew Enabler, is a program for the Sony PSP that enables homebrew (execution of community mods) and downgraders (PSP) to be run on a specific (and mostly limited) firmware version which have been successfully granted the access of running unsigned code.

History

H.E.N was released for one main purpose; to allow execution of homebrew & community mods without the need to downgrade. While the vast population of the homebrewers prefer to downgrade, some choose not to , and thus H.E.N was developed.

In the more recent version of H.E.N, Firmware versions up to 3.50 have to ability to run community mods. This version was released by the Noobz team after their recent (and major) success in a community mod release.

Functionality

H.E.N works by patching the system software in memory (so it is not permanent) to allow it to run homebrew applications direct from the XMB.
