Headcount Records
Headcount Records was established by Chris (P-Man) Leigh and Laura (Longarm) Carr in the summer of 2003. It was to be a record label that established and developed unsigned Hip Hop artists whom they felt deserved recognition. Headcounts first release was a compilation EP on 10" vinyl called 'The New Wave'.
Limited to only 600 copies, The New Wave EP (HC001) was distributed by Boombox Distribution and Suspect Packages. It featured producers, DJ's and emcees whom Headcount were planning to work with further and was an example of what kind of sound Headcount stood for.
