California School of Culinary Arts Pasadena

The California School of Culinary Arts - Pasadena (CSCA) was founded in 1994 and is an affiliate of Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. CSCA - Pasadena offers Associate of Occupational Studies degrees in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality & Restaurant Management and diplomas in Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie & Baking.

History

The California School of Culinary Arts opened in 1994 as a partner of Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu Program.

Academics

Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program

The school offers an Associate of Occupational Studies degree program in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts where students have the opportunity to learn classical French practices and modern techniques. Students study with skilled chefs and culinary professionals and are tested on individual performance.

Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality & Restaurant Management Program

CSCA - Pasadena offers an Associate of Occupational Studies in Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality & Restaurant Management. This program introduces students to the techniques of the hospitality industry.

Part-Time Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie & Baking Program

The school offers a weeknight and weekend diploma program to teach students the concepts of baking and pastry arts.

Le Cordon Bleu Pâtisserie & Baking Program

The full-time diploma program teaches baking and pastry techniques that can lead to an exciting career in a restaurant or pastry shop.

Admissions

Prospective students should apply for admission as soon as possible. Applicants must submit an application form and complete a personal interview with an admissions representative. Recognition of a high school diploma or equivalent and a registration fee must also be submitted with the application. Applicants must also complete and pass a Wonderlic examination.

Campus

The school is located in the Playhouse District of Pasadena, California and is close to a variety of resorts and restaurants. The campus features kitchen labs, classrooms, a student-run restaurant, café and campus cookstore. CSCA is also only 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
