History
Greendimes is a web-based junk mail reduction service founded by Pankaj Shah in 2006. Its parent company Tonic.com completed it's series-A funding in July of 2007 raising $20.5M in venture capital funding from Tudor Ventures. When asked to explain the origins of the division, Greendimes founder Pankaj Shah is quoted as saying: "Everybody gets junk mail, and nobody likes it.”In May of 2007, Greendimes partnered with the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children to provide child ID kits to promote National Missing Children's Day. The company was rebranded as "Mailstopper" for a brief period in 2007, and then rebranded again in October 2008 as "Precycle".
