Gouri Nair
Gouri Nair is a multilingual actress who has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Arabic language films. Gowri is the granddaughter of A. V. Menon from Thrissur, who participated in the freedom struggle, and Perumpilly Ammini Amma. Gauri, who holds a master's degree in mass communication and human resources, is also a well-trained dancer and a writer.
Biography
Gouri was born in Thrissur to Suresh Babu and Girija S. Nair. Gouri is a descendant of Malayalam's first superstar Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair.
Film career
Gouri made her debut in the Kannada film industry (Sandalwood) in 2015 with the film Pattabhisheka . Yuvraj Kalyan Kumar, son of former Kannada superstar Kalyan Kumar, played the lead role in that film. In 2016, Omani Arabic Director Khalid Al Sadjali chose Gauri to play the female lead in the Arabic film Alhara. The other main characters in the film were Adil Musa Al-Sajjali and Shaker Nasser Al-Balushi. In 2017, she made her Tamil debut with the film Thondan, in which Samuthirakani played the lead role. In 2018, she played the lead role in the Malayalam film Two Days, starring Samuthirakani. The film was directed by Kalabhavan Nisar. In 2021, she returned to Kannada with the film Chaddi Dost Kaddi Alladisbutta, starring Oscar Krishna. In 2021, she did the Tamil film Irai, directed by Rajesh Selva, starring Sarathkumar. In 2022, the film Naina, directed by Sridhar Zia, was officially selected for the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival.
