George Tanev
George Tanev (born 28 May 1983 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian auto racing driver. He has competed mainly in rally events including the Bulgarian Rally Championship and the Rallye de France round of the World Rally Championship. He has also driven in Hill climbing events and Touring car racing. In 2008 he finished as runner-up in the Bulgarian Touring Car Championship, with a Subaru Impreza. Also in 2008, he competed in eight rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, two of which to replace Stefano D'Aste at Proteam Motorsport with a BMW 320si in the final rounds at Macau. His best result was an eighteenth place at Monza.
For 2009, Tanev signed for Proteam for a full season in the WTCC. {{-}}
