They reach over 84,000 candidates each month and send over 30,000 job alerts every day to Accountants and finance professionals who appreciate their sector knowledge. GAAPweb’s clients, range from the very largest to the smallest businesses in the UK, from all industry sectors, complemented by numerous recruitment consultants who also choose GAAPweb to recruit for their clients’ roles.
History:
GAAPweb was launched in June 1998 by Cliff Olsson and Mark Wainwright. After juggling a job each, working nights on the website and ploughing all their savings into their new venture GAAPweb was created.
At first, in order to get people to advertise, it had to be free. From these humble beginnings a market leader has emerged and the company has seen increasing profits year-on-year.
In August 2005 GAAPweb was acquired by The Trinity Mirror Group. This greatly increased the company’s potential audience reach and capacity to develop new products and services.
In October 2007, GAAPweb partnered with Sift Media, linking with FinanceWeek and AccountingWEB. News and features appear on GAAPweb allowing users a greater insight into the important issues of the industry. Users can also use the sites to comment on news stories, download library documents, find out about new courses and discuss business issues with other community members.
