Fremont Christian School

Fremont Christian School (also known as FCS), is a private Evangelical Christian School located in Fremont, California, USA. The school was founded in 1967. It teaches preschool through 12th grade. The current secondary principal is Mrs. Meyer and the secondary Vice Principal is Mr. Brown. The school is located on Thornton Ave. The typical schedule of a secondary campus student consist of 7 periods including lunch. Each period is 45 minutes long with the exception on chapel days which each class is 40 minutes each. Some notable teachers that have been at FCS for a large amounts of time are Mr. Romero, sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Medellin, high school Spanish teacher, and Mrs. Lunde, 1st grade teacher. In 2005, Fremont Christian church changed their name from First Assembly of God to Harbor Light.

Athletics

The school colors are cardinal red and silver and the mascot is the warrior. Fremont Christian School belongs to the Private School Athletic League (PSAL), which is composed of nine private schools in the area. The PSAL is a league of the Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. In the early 1990s the gym floor was carpet and later changed to rubber similar to the material under "cushioned" tennis courts. The soccer team won its first game after the 3 year losing streak on 10/19/07 winning 4-3.
