Francis Ciantar

Francis Ciantar (1918-) born in Sondrio, Italy. Is a notable Dr and Dentist harrowed for discovering the scientific relationship between the tongue, taste and the human brain and the satiety center.

Research

Dr Ciantar's research is partly responsible for the 2004 Nobel Prize in Medicine "odorant receptors and the organization of the olfactory system". Richard Axel and Linda B. Buck completed the research that led to the awarding of the Noble Prize.

Some say Dr Ciantar's discovery and the subsequent research that followed over the next 20 years is the key to and will cure Obesity. Animal trials were conducted on an anti-obesity formulation in the 1980's and 1990's and worldwide human trials have been conducted since 2008. Media reports have indicated that the formulation will be made available as an over-the-counter anti-obesity medicine in mid 2010. The product will be marketed worldwide by Swiss Pharmaceutical giant, SensaSlim Suisse.
