Four Hundred Years

Four Hundred Years was a melodic screamo band from Richmond, VA. Although they were only together for just over two years, the band produced two full-length releases and a compilation of singles on Lovitt Records.

History

The band formed in 1998 with Daron Hollowell on vocals and guitar, Ash Bruce on drums, Erin Housholder on bass and Dave Jackson on guitar and vocals. Originally from Tucson, AZ, the founding members had moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend school. The band began to write intense hardcore songs with a sound descended from other Washington-area acts. Their second album, Transmit Failure was released on Lovitt Records in September 1998.

Upon the completion of recording The New Imperialism they played four final shows on the east coast before disbanding.
