Footmovin' Records
Footmovin' Records is a Portuguese record label dedicated to HipHop and Rap music.
Company history
Beginnings
Footmovin' Records was founded in 2002 by DJ Bomberjack, who created the movement to help launch new MCs. The first CD ever edited by the label was Afro-disiaco by rapper NBC in 2003. It achieved great success in their home country of Portugal.
Developement
In 2005, Footmovin' decided to expand and include M.A.C. and Sir Scratch to its list of signed artists. M.A.C., Missao A Cumprir {Mission to Accomplish}, followed the political and social aspects of portuguese society. Sir Scratch, a name already known in HipHop, helped strenghten Footmovin' with his hit album "Entre o Coracao e o Realismo". In 2006, the CD "Bomberjack Mixtape Files: The Retrospective" and Serviço Público by Valete were launched. However, 2007 was probably the most important year for the record label, signing artists like Bob Da Rage Sense, DJ Nucleo, SP & Wilson, and Royalistick, within others.
