Financial Information Network and Operations (FINO) is an Indian Financial Inclusion Solutions and Services company, formed in 2006. It is promoted by the multiple public and private sector banks in India. The company offers technology IP (Intellectual Property) and services to enable financial inclusion.
Evolution
FINO was started with 17 people which were working with icici during 2006. FINO commenced operations in 2006 starting of with the development of technology products that served to enable Financial Inclusion. Starting as a purely technology oriented company, FINO launched FINO Fintech Foundation under which it set-up network of 4000 agents across india to help provide the last mile services to banks and financial services organization.
Products
FINO has two main lines of business that include Technology Products and Business Correspondent Services. FINO as a technology solution provider provides solutions to enable financial inclusion, microfinance, remittances. As a Business Correspondent services provide, FINO provides the agent network to facilitate the last mile services for banks and financial organizations
