Fede Monreal

Federico Monreal (born April 4, 1980) is Spanish pop singer. In the year 2003, he was Contestant on interactive reality television show Operación Triunfo.

I was born on April the 4th of 1980 in Albacete, from that moment I was moving from one side to the other because of my father's job (he is a doctor). For that reason, what I remember from my childhood were the removals, several schools throughout Spain, some girlfriends and my bike. When my parents got divorced I went to Madrid with my mother and my brothers, a big city which I lived my adolescence, my first broken heart, my first unpaid bill, my first jobs and my first song...

There, I finished secondary school and I didn't know what to do with my life... to study or work? I think most of the young people don't know what to do either. I decided to study at the University (for 3 months), then I worked in several things but I realized that the music was all day long inside my head forcing me to write songs, to sing them. It was not a hobby it was really me. So, I started to write songs and to sing frequently in public for example in hotels, in the street (with friends) and in an orchestra. I really did my best, I did a great effort and finally I won the battle against the biggest enemy of the human being: the shyness.

Now here I am, looking at a fuzzy horizon which I want to see it clearly and blue. I'm sad because of all I left behind but I'm really happy for what I will try to get... that my songs show my illusions and how I do want to live my life. Well, these are my aims and my life. Yes, there are beautiful and horrible things that I haven't mentioned because I don't want to bore you. And finally would you please keep in mind this: never loose your desire to fight for your dreams, for your life... nobody can take us our illusions away...
