Event Pokemon

Event Pokémon are special Pokémon distributed at Nintendo Promotional events that include movie premiers, special occasions, festivals, and other places such as PokéPark and Pokémon Centers. Periodically, Nintendo hosts or sponsors parties and events for fans usually in connection to the premiers of new games or movies. The Pokémon usually can be obtained using the Mystery Gift feature on Pokémon games. They are notable for special known moves and held items and are available for only a certain amount of time. They are usually released as a Movie Pokémon who would soon premier on TV or DVD.
