History
In the course of its 70 years in the market, Emege SA has traditionally sustained a strong industrial development. Founded by Manuel Gak, Emege SA worked from the beginning basically on products, guaranteeing their functionality and quality to satisfy highly demanding needs. First products to be manufactured were lighting appliances and alcohol-fired instant water heaters.
As NATURAL gas became an important energy source in Argentina, Emege emerged as the leader and innovator in the development of gas fired appliances. In the early 60’s Emege launched the line of individual heaters. In 1964 Emege moved to a new 6.000 sq. meters facility located in the capital city, where a complete line of heaters was produced. Some years later, in 1973, the first water heaters’ line was manufactured. When natural gas network expanded, distribution channels also grew, increasing the market presence of Emege product lines, such as the Flue Balanced and Without Connection heaters’ line.
In this way, Emege became a leader and referring brand in the gasodomestic market during the 80’s. In 1992, in an effort to increase operations, Emege acquired a 27.000 sq. mts. facility in Florida, Province of Buenos Aires, where all industrial operations and headquarters were concentrated in 1997.
In view of the leadership obtained in the local market, The New generation of family managers focused their strategy on entering international markets and establishing the development of new business. This resulted in the opening of the Emege Chile branch in 1998 and Emege presence in the most diverse international markets such as Latin America, USA, and even the distant New Zealand. These international accomplishments positioned Emege as the N°. 1 gas heaters line’s Argentine exporter.
During the second half the 90’s Emege launched the new EURO heaters line. Its avant garde design, quality, security and aesthetics positioned this product as a reference of the gas line. Years later the high recovery water heaters line was launched, to satisfy consumer high requirements of hot water. Called RECORD, clearly in reference to its performance, the line includes models TIR 550, TIR 840 Plus and TIR 1040.
At present Emege SA keeps its tradition as an innovatory company, with updated products, offering constructive quality and reliablility. With a 30% share in the heating market, Emege offers all the options to best satisfy consumer comfort.
