Ehsanullah Tarin
Dr Ehsanullah Khan Tarin also written Ehsanullah Tareen (born 19th August 1953) is a senior Pakistani medical practitioner.
Background
Dr Khan was born in an ethnic Pashtun Tarin family settled in Southern Punjab, Pakistan. He graduated with an MBBS degree from the King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1981, and later took an MA degree in Health Management from the United Kingdom. In 2003, he completed his PhD research from the University of Leeds, UK.
Career
Dr Ehsanullah Tarin has held several jobs in Pakistan and abroad. He remained a medical doctor in various hospitals and Registrar of the Mayo Hospital Lahore, and since 2007 , is a senior doctor and Health Systems Specialist with the WHO, in Khartoum, Sudan.
He is a Member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Islamabad, a Fellow of the Nuffield Institute of Health, UK, and Technical Advisor to the Sudanese Medical Board, Sudan.
