Edwin Peacock III

Edwin Bruton Peacock III (b. March 6, 1970) is currently one of four at-large members of the Charlotte, North Carolina City Council. Peacock is seeking re-election as a Republican candidate in the 2009 election. Peacock is an ACTIVE member of the Charlotte Downtown Rotary, a board member of Carolina's Freedom Foundation, on the Charlotte Country Day School Alumni Board, a graduate of Leadership Charlotte, and a member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church.

Business and Personal

Peacock attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools (both Lansdowne Elementary and First Ward Elementary) and graduated from Charlotte Country Day School in 1988. Following this, he attended the University of Georgia and obtained his B.A. in political science. After graduation, Peacock worked in Washington, D.C. for twelve years before eventually returning to Charlotte. He has served as the Vice President for the Pomfret Financial Company, Inc. since 2000, a company which primarily represents Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. There he serves as a Financial Representative and Field Director.

Edwin is married to Amy Rupertus Peacock and they have two children; a son, Bruton (age six), and a daughter, Avery (age four).
