Dusty McFly
Derek Tailfer (born November 5, 1988), also known as his stage name Dusty McFly is a rapper from Detroit, Michigan. He is known for his mixtape series, "Buffies & Benihanas" has led to both critical acclaim and major record deals for him, although he is still currently signed under Detroit legend Street Lord Juan's record label Dirty Glove Entertainment.
Biography
Dusty was mainly raised by his mother and grandmother, his grandmother gave him the nickname, "Dusty" because he had light brown hair, he learned how to be a man at a young age and took care of himself. He was influenced by E-40 and Snoop Dogg. Dusty McFly’s music is an unapologetic reflection of the harsh realities that exist in Detroit, Michigan and other disenfranchised communities across the country. Dusty McFly’s music is a soundtrack to the city; it’s a celebration for those who were fortunate enough to overcome the social ills of their immediate environment, and a cry from the youth who have succumbed to it. Dusty McFly’s music is about making audiences aware of this lifestyle and reality.
He has aligned himself with the seasoned entertainment industry veterans in C.O.I.N. Handlers LLC as his management company to ensure his chances of success. Together they are diligently working to make history for the city of Detroit, and guaranteeing Dusty as a contender in the big league. Their collective faith in God, discipline, diligence, and hard work is sure to make Dusty McFly next up from Detroit, Michigan. He released his debut mixtape Buffies & Benihanas in 2011. He released the lead single to his upcoming mixtape, Evergreen called "All Week" on August 10, 2014. The second single "Paper" is going to be on both his mixtape, Evergreen and an EP called, Bo$$ $tatus set to be released in 2014 sources say.
