Dufferin-Finch (VIVA)
Dufferin-Finch is a Vivastation on York Region's Viva bus rapid transit system in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It opened on March 1, 2010. It is located on the York University Busway at Dufferin Street. Despite its name, the station is not located directly on The Intersection with Finch Avenue.1 However,TTC's parallel route, the 196 York University Rocket, stops at the Dufferin-Finch intersection.2 It is located in the Viva Orange line.
Since the Vivastation is south of York Region, passengers may only board Viva westbound into York Region, while the eastbound platform was used only for passengers alighting at Murray Ross. As such, there is no station on the eastbound platform.
Future
When the Spadina line of the Toronto Transit Commission subway system is extended to York University and Vaughan Corporate Centre, transit service between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Downsview Station will be discontinued by Viva, replaced by the subway. As a result, the Vivastation and service to the area by Viva will also be discontinued.
