DKFM Shoegaze Radio
DKFM is an independent internet-only streaming radio station specializing in shoegaze and dream pop, both subgenres of alternative rock.
History
Founded in April 2012 by Greg Wilson in Fresno, California, DKFM was signed to the Live365 Network until its eventual collapse in December 2015. After a brief outage at the beginning of 2016, DKFM signed to the Radionomy network in January, and found a more permanent home with Canada’s Sonixcast Network in May 2016. Operations and icensing for the broadcast is now paid by patrons. DKFM has presented and sponsored shoegaze and dream pop festivals in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and Kalamazoo.
