DJ Emir

Puerto Rican born DJ Emir moved to New York at the tender age of 3. He was raised in New York for the first 19 years of his life. This allowed him to absorb New York's rich diverse culture which would later influence his DJ style and MusicAL taste. After establishing a small presence in New Yorks nightclub and party scene, DJ Emir moved to Denver Colorado to be near his Mother, who had moved to Denver when Emir first entered College.

In Denver Emir immediately got to work establishing himself as one of Denver's premier Hip Hop and Reggae DJs, while at the same time playing several Raves under his Techno Pseudo Name DJ Samhain. As more and more people called him DJ Emir he soon dropped his alter Ego DJ name and became simply known as DJ Emir. In a very flattering article in one of Denver's local magazines, Eric heater of the Sugar Twist Kids dubbed Emir Best Hardcore Techno DJ in Denver.

To keep up with new music DJ Emir took a few trips back to New York, picking up music that was well ahead of Denver's Music Scene at the time, making it easy to establish a strong hold of Denver's top Nightclubs. DJ Emir became a Thursday night Resident DJ of the largest Denver Nightclub of it's day, Club America with over 1700 nightclub fans each Thursday night. His specialization in the field of Reggae Music also landed him several Gigs including Opening for the Legendary DJ Kid Capri and his own nightclub nights at a few other large Denver Nightclubs.

DJ Emir was also known at the time for creating great party mixtapes (on cassette) and in 2002 He began making mixtape CDs. 2002 also marked the creation of DJ Emir's website www.djemir.com which by the year 2004 had established a huge share of the internet. The website introduced DJ Emir's mixes and mixtapes to a huge new worldwide fanbase. Emir's mixtapes reached world-wide distribution and began gaining him favorable recognition amongst the mixtape fans, DJs and nightclubs of the world. In 2005 He started Touring various nightclubs across the country and in 2006 he started touring around the world.

DJ Emir has established himself as a premier DJ and master of ceremonies. In recent years Emir has become a worldwide phenom, with friends bumping into his fans in Russia, China and even France. One friend, while in Paris France, was simply mentioning that she studied Kung Fu in Denver Colorado, and to her astonishment was quickly responded with "Wow do you know DJ Emir? He studies Kung Fu in Colorado too, he's my favorite DJ."

By the 2007 the ripples created by DJ Emir had reached every corner of the planet. With new fans writing in and new articles being written AbOUT him and a website that receives over 60,000 unique visitors per month.
