Dizmo AG

Established in 2013, Dizmo AG is a Software company based in Zurich, Switzerland. Dizmo launched on crowd-funding site Kickstarter in February 2014 with a goal of $25,000 and ended up getting a pledge of $43,826. In June 2014, it received $2 million in series A funding from a team of entrepreneurs, led by Hybris CEO Ariel Luedi.

Dizmo software

dizmo (digital + gizmo) is a new user-interface software that allows users to interact with multiple digital elements ("gizmos") using any advanced smart display and digital surface. A dizmo acts like a virtual pin board and allows users to do multiple activities such as working on documents and general Web browsing from a single work space.

Dizmo software contains two elements:

  • dizmoSpace – a crossplatform application written in C++ and compiled for 32 and 64 bits systems
  • Dizmo(s)- digital objects that users can create and arrange using dizmoSpace. Dizmos are created using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.

The operating systems currently supported are Mac OS X 10.7. and later; Windows 7 and later; and Linux (Ubuntu).
