Dilwyn Pritchard
Dilwyn Pritchard born 1960 in Abercynon, well known in football circles for his charity work and compere for numerous Gentlemen' evenings having worked with some very famous stars including Ian Rush, Norman Whiteside ,John Toshack, Dean Saunders, Brian Flynn, Paul Wilkinson Aaron Ramsey Darcy Blake,John Hartson,Leighton James,Phil Bennett,Garin Jenkins,Dai Young,Brymor Williams, Mike Watkins,Steve Fenwick,Gareth Bowen. Is the first port of call for much memorabilia for charity auctions and worked hard with a couple of people to raise over £8000 for LATCH with Nigel Phillips and Heatwise. Played football from an early age and had trials with Cardiff City schoolboys alongside David and Paul Giles and played against Kevin Ratcliffe who went on to captain Everton and Wales.
Played for Abercynon Athletic, Penrhiwciber Rangers, and Baileys Arms before moving up the coaching ladder gaining level B badge in 1998. Managed Baileys Arms to two Aberdare Valley Championships, Three Cup victories along with Paul Ferguson before taking up the post at Penrhiwceiber Rangers in Welsh League Division One. Moved on to Aberaman Legion and won the their first ever championship while at the same time won the double with cup victory as well.
Moved on to Welsh League Aberaman Athletic in 2008 as operations manager and now he is the Director of Football at the Welsh League Champions, was instrumental in bringing former Welsh international Leighton James to the club as manager.
