Dedhar

Dedhar is a caste In the Gujjar Community of Northern India, Kashmir, Pakistan, many who live in the UK today.

There are many prominent Gujjar families in the Pakistan's Occupied Kashmir region, who came from Persia in the following places: Pramekot, Rahimkot, Riat, Dadyal, Mirpur, Bhalot Chowk (Mirpur), Mandi Village (Ddayal), Saliah Village (Dayal), Kund (Dadyal), Kotli, Sehnsa, (Khoi Ratta, Anderla Kothera, Shaheen Abad, Dakkhana, Phalini, Khor, Ghayeen, Kerjai, Barali Gala, Nidi Sohana. In the Nakiyal District, Kotli the Gujjars are majority, in population, business, education, and politics the majority of Gujjars families are settled in America, England, France, Canada and other European countries, the common Gujjars villages in Teh Nakiyal are Nirgal, Karaila, Lanjot, Mhandethar, Balmi, Narran ni Tarrar, Bhandi, Tharkundi, Palani, Jair, Mohrha sharief, Khandhar, Supply, Phanag, Bagh (Haveli), Hajirah, Abbaspour Bura Jungle, Muzaffarabad and Neelum District. Bhalot Dedhar Gujjars such as the Hyatt Baksh Family are prominent, well respected in society.

Dedhars founded in the Northern Caucasus along the CASPIAN Sea. Although the Dedhar initially converted to the Abrahamic faiths through interaction with successive Islamic caliphates; during the eighteenth century, the Dedhar adopted Islam as state religion. At their height, the Dedhar and their tributaries controlled much of what is today southern Russia, western Kazakhstan, eastern Ukraine, Azerbaijan, large portions of the Northern Caucasus (Circassia, Dagestan, Chechnya), and Georgia and the Crimea.
