Dave Abels

Dave Abels is an American attorney based in Chicago, Illinois. He is founding partner at Abels & Annes, P.C.

Following the Indian Ocean tsunami, Abels traveled to Thailand to search for his missing brother who was among the victims of the disaster, getting interviewed by Anderson Cooper. His brother's body was eventually found six weeks later in Krabi, Thailand.

Since 2011, he has represented a number of victims abused by a [...] priest in lawsuits against the Chicago Archdiocese. In one case, Abels represented a victim who was abused between the 5th and 7th grades, recovering $3.2 million. The firm's office is located on LaSalle Street.
