Das Wasser des Lebens

Das Wasser des Lebens is the first live MusicAL by the artist Choir of Mainstockheim. It was recorded during January and February 2001 in the "Sandmans World" studios in Mainstockheim and had its premiere in October 2001. Over 1000 people watched the musical in the four performances the choir made.

The story bases on the fairy story "Dune - der Wüstenplanet" by Frank Herbert. It was created by Uwe Ungerer himself and his friend and band-mate Ralf Jungmeier. The musical is about the knight Daron who wants to find the "water of life". On his way he meets different characters such as a witch, a dragon or the handy-man.

History

Recording and Performance

The CD to the musical "Das Wasser des Lebens" was recorded in early 2001 and about 29 kids take part in the recording session. The same children who had recorded the solo parts on the CD, played also the role on stage in October/November 2001. The first performance of the musical was on October 28th and it was followed by three other performances in October and November. All in all the musical was very successful with over 1000 viewers and many sold CDs.

Characters

• Daron- the main character of the story. He is the knight who wants to find the sense of life.
• Königin- the mother of Daron. She is worried about the adventure, Daron wants to make.
• Schwertmeister- the best friend and the teacher of Daron.
• Hexe- the witch ("Hexe") would like to manipulate Darons' decision
• Schokoprinzessin- she loves Daron and wants him to stay at her party. Because he will find the water, he goes on.
• Handy-Mann- the handy-man tells Daron about his way of life and he wants to influence Daron, too.
• Dragon- the dragon fights with him, but loses the battle and is killed by Daron.
