Daryl Howland
Darryl Howland (born in Brisbane, Australia) is an American rugby league player currently playing for the Jacksonville Axemen club in the American National Rugby League competition in the United States. He has also played for various clubs in the United States as well as Australia, England, France and Canada. His position of choice is usually at hooker or halfback however he can fit into any of the backline positions making him somewhat of an utility back.
Howland qualified for the United States national side via the residency rule after he lived in the country for several years playing rugby league and since qualifying has gone on to make a total of fifteen appearances. He has also coached the United States students side in the 1999 Student Rugby League World Cup.
Jacksonville Axemen
After helping establish the Jacksonville Axemen club for the 2006 AMNRL season he was appointed player-coach of the club and led them to the playoffs in their first year of competition.
