Daniel Merriweather's Debut Album

Daniel Merriweather's debut album (originally titled The Fifth Season ; now without a definite title) is expected to be released sometime in early 2008 ; it will be released through Marlin Records in Australia and Allido Records in the US.

Track listing

A tracklisting for the album has not been confirmed; however it is presumably likely it will also likely contain the Mark Ronson collaboration "Stop Me" (from Ronson's album, "Version"). Although it would be expected that the album would contain Daniel's two previously released singles "City Rules" and "She's Got Me", in mid-late 2007 he told journalist Nui Te Koha (on "City Rules", "She's Got Me" and "Pot Of Gold") "...I loved what I was doing at the time; I think that now I've kind of, maybe just grown up a little bit...We're all sort of, evolving...The album that I'm, sort of, working on now (inaudible) from what I was doing...sort of a mish-mash of other influences that I think I ignored a little bit in the past...". This would suggest the singles May Be left off the final album, although this would no doubt disappoint many long-term fans who have been waiting for an album release of these early tracks since 2004.
